or... EVERYONE STOP GETTING THE SAME BLOODY WHEELS!!!

there's a practically infinite choice out there and you all go and get rs7s?!?!?!

i don't care if they look nice on an escort.. there are plenty more wheels out there that look just as good :vangry:

LOL, but they look really good!!!

Still not sure if I want to go down that route at this time, as bigger wheels would mean lowering and I'd want a kit not just springs. Tomorrows d-day, gonna see if i can get these current wheels of mine balanced or whether they're bent. If they're ok i'll use them for the winter, save for a kit and get some rs7's for next summer (that's if we have any!!!!! :( )

depends on the style of modding, for a reasonable subtle, smooth look, u gotta have Ford alloys IMO and RS7's are unbeatable, but they would look sooooo outta place on my car, and i don't think nethin wud suit it like the RS GT's, the same as only certain aftermarket rims suit Esc Cos's, and only certain wheels suit full-on WRC reps etc etc etc

best make of alloy ? ie least likely to bend warp buckle...

AROSPEED! 8) :D

u know u gotta get the RS7's for urs tho!

Mike I reckon your wheels must be one of the easiest to buckle ;(

RS7's will be one of the toughest :thumb:

The best wheel manufacturers (OZ, BBS, etc.) will buckle least. The best choice of action is to just avoid potholes! :(

My crappy Fox alloys are officially buckled, they were balanced perfectly tho (does balancing just correct the force from centre to outside, not from side of wheel to other?) Strangely the wheel i thought was Ok was seriously buckled!

Guy agreed they(fox) are crap and reccomended OZ or Ford (any manufacturers wheels) as the least likely to buckle.

I think I will go for the RS7's, I just love the way the look and how the centre cap is offset from the rim inwards!! :thumb: Just wondering if I can suffer the height difference until I can afford a kit. How high's it likely to be 17's on standard suspension?

Fox are indeed shite! ;( X(

The difference balancing will have couteracting the buckle depends on the severity of the damage, and whether the wheel has been made into an 'oval' shape or if the wheel has a 'wobble' (side to side buckle).

I know my car shaked violently above 105 with the old 17s on!

Now its smooth as standard even at 115 (eventutally! :curse: )

Agreed with Chappers above endless wheel choice. But if wheel strength is important to ya, then RS7s won't be beaten easily!
