Stu
There are some differences with the black top zetec E engine.. the oil filter is in a different place.. you may want to check some fitment stuff before committing to it.. 220hp is pretty weak for a 2 litre turbo, I would assume its one of these cheapo high-compression low-boost setups, pretty crappy.. To give you a comparison, a 2.1 zetec with 8:1 compression ratio, can give you 300hp @ 1.2 bar boost on a T34 turbocharger.. using all ford parts (apart from ecu, but technically you could use eec-iv).. ScottyBoy
and the 2.0 esp engine uses the mtx75 gearbox (lift up reverse) where as the lower focus zetec engines use the ib5

I think you'll find you're wrong, it's the Zetec E. If not, what's the differences between the Zetec E and the Zetec 'S'?

It has been produced in 1.25, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7 litre capacities. These engines bare no mechanical resemblance to the Zetec-E engines

And the main differences between the silver top and black top 'E' engines are: Oil filter location (remote), The lifters (hydraulic vs. solid), bore & stroke, and the cam cover colour The later black top is a superior engine.. we didn't go further than 470hp on this engine before we moved to development of the Duratec
