white_van_matt
OK, a mate of a mate fancies one He has heard that you are fine as long as it exits on the drivers side - i.e. doesn't point towards the pavement. Is this true?He still wants it to pass an MOT
Ex-Finesse
Seen plenty on both sides. Saw a Golf today with side exits both sides
magicdragon
My mate had a custom built exhaust on his Capri with twin pipes on each side, and that sailed through its MOT... Don't think you will have a problem... i think its more of a problem if they stick out too far.. keep them close to edge of the car and you'll be fine.... Cyrix
My Capri's system used to exit just before the rear wheel arch either side. Didnt particulalry like it. Just a 4/2/1 2.5" straight thru now........
Stu
There is no law about where your exhaust exits, as long as its not a dangerous protruding object, and technically there are noise limits..
plumber60
technically there are noise limits.. yeah i think its just changed to 78dB or something like that, mine is definately over that, some crazy woman was in the local paper yesterday too. She won gob of the day at a local event with 114dB i think!
