Gearbox / Reverse Lights

as a few of you know i had to replace my gearbox and done that last week,

 

now i have no reverse lights,

 

the gearbox came from a 1300mk6 encore and has an extra piece to the one that came off - a multiplug connector but quite a sized one.

 

it still has the speedo drive and some wires by the speedo drive that the other 'box had, so they all pluged in but i have no idea what to do now as on the old 'box this extra connector aint there and i'm now convinced that its that which controls the reverse lights.

 

anybody ever had this prob and know how to correct it?

 

or anybody know what differences are between the box i put in (from a 1300 'P' reg mk6 Encore)

 

and the box that came out of my car - FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NEW (cos i changed my sig back to my mk6) I AM NOW DRIVING MY TEMP CAR - A 1400 MK5b.
