Tythman
well basically, they get a tiny bit warm but not really as hot as they used to get. you have to wrap up warm to drive my car! one of my mates said it cud be something about the pressure in the coolant system or the coolant it self!? doesnt really make sense to me but perhaps to some people here it does. or cud it be the heater matrix, i dont know what it is i just heard it once.. does it have to be bled or something? im lost! any ideas wud be greatly appreciated cuz i's freezin' my balls off! cheers,

sime73
does the coolant level drop over a few days ? if it does it could be the matrix if the level is ok then change the thermostat (£5 max) the dripping sound will prob be air in the system so make sure u get rid of it wen refilling and dont forget antifreeze ! Tythman
so how does the thermostat affect the heaters anyway... i thought that monitored the engine temp.. im sorry if this sounds noobish!
cargy
so how does the thermostat affect the heaters anyway... i thought that monitored the engine temp.. im sorry if this sounds noobish! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The stat controls flow of water to the rad. to make the engine heat up quicker, it doesn't open the flow till the engine's warm. If it's jammed open, the rad is cooling the water straight away so it doesn't get warm enough to heat the air passing thru the heater matrix (which is just a mini-me radiator inside the ventilation system) Ergo cool water = little heat lol there is always one! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not true, if I didn't do it someone else would
