My ford escort MK5.5 1.6 mistral is using up FAR too much juice, If i put £15 in the tank i struggle to get 100 miles outta it! I've tried everything.........a redex type liquid for fuel consumption problems but it dont help? infact it makes it worse! lol. I bet your thinking, take it to a garage! The garage's round my way are all connes, they'll try and sell me a new engine! I would like a bit of background info before i go, any suggestions as to why my scort is usin so much petrol? Its that bad that sumtimes when im driving i can see the fuel lever drop instantly! But then i used to floor it evrywhere, then it got worse cause its was only runnin on three cylinders and i was lucky to get 50miles to a tenner. Considering the tank only cost 40quid to fill a think that is great value for money.
