dirty_escort
right most of you know i had alot of problems with the car over the last couple of weeks.... well the burning oil problem has disappeared.... no more smoke comming out of the exhaust 1-nil pete then the fan problem which had me towed into FITP and towed home from FITP lmao.... well it was the fan switch apperantly, took it into ford paid a total of £60..... £50 to find the fault and then £10 for the switch then they wanted £30 to fit it just screw one off and then screw the new one on..... then they only went and gave me the wrong switch will be sorted tomorrow and as for the overheating.... i believe the thermosat is dead.... well it would overheat from cold within 4/5miles, so i whipped the thermosat out because to radiator was stone cold but the engine was red hot.... and it ain;t over heating anymore.... didn't even go over the "O" on the gauge tonight so that will need replaced but might leave it for the time been as it is the summer months lol Just well glad things are starting to come together again.... was starting to lose my rag with it

dirty_escort
burning oil..... well i put in 10w40 oil when it should be 5w30 to stop the oil going through the piston ring so fast, then did a engine oil flush and then topped it up with 5w30, no more blue/black smoke coming out of the exhaust
