ploppy Posted May 25, 2005 Share Posted May 25, 2005 my 1.8 is misfiring slightly and i heard that it is a common problem with the 1.8 gti engine. someone suggested cleaning the throttle body. however i have looked at the throttle body before and it says on a sticker on the tb to not clean it as it has a speacial coating inside.just wondering if anyone heard of similar ideas or had similar problems. stuck it on WDS at work and it showed the engine management as fine.
