Lamba Sensor. When i bought my GTI from ford dealer it was fine week later got problem above revs sticking it was not idle control valve at all. it was one of the above mentioned sensors. Something bad is going back to the ecu and telling the injectors to put more fuel in likly hood is to be the oxygen sensor but to tell you exactly is the werong thing for mew to do the rightg thing for me to tell you is to start with the cheapest sensor and work your way up. ploppy Posted June 6, 2005 Share Posted June 6, 2005 try unplugging the speed sensro. it done it one mine so i just unplugged it. altho it makes the ride a bit harsher when going along and taking ur foot off the accelerator.got another one to go on tho.
