Devboy Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 I need a new gearbox and my syncro in 4th is out and will be cheaper or shall i say easyer to buy a new good con 2nd had gearbox and stick it on . So, what gearbox should i get for my Escort 1.8SI Zetec 1995. I was thining the RS2K gearbox but then i will need the driveshafts. If its worth it then i will. inda Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 anyone got one? heh.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>u are runing with the ib5 gearbox,by changing to mtx u will need alsorts of mods (new clutch and cover gearbox mounts,reverse is by pulling gear lever up) so there is quite alot involved and if ur running say 170bhp it will take it no probs,just get it reconed mate,the ib5 is a good box.
