Exhaust system and suspension kit

Hi i've just bought a '98 1.8si and need to order an exhaust system and suspension kit for it, can't decide what to go for though so any oppinons or pictures from personal experience would be good :thumb:

Exhaust, gonna be keeping the standard cat and options im thinking of are Magnex, Mongoose or Scorpion cat back systems. Just wondered if anyony has tried these systems and which they think sound the best and best quality made? Doesn't necessairly need to be really loud, just a good exhaust note and nice tailpipe finish :D Tempted to go for the mongoose, any oppinions?

Suspension, full kit (shocks and springs) prob not gonna afford adjustable shocks, can't decide wether to go for a 60mm drop (prob g-max), or stick with a 40mm drop, if so what make to go for, dont want the car to look higher at the front than at the rear as i've seen a lot of escorts look like this. Handling is also important. Car's running on 17's want it to look sutibily slammed but not constantly rubbing on front arches (roundabouts etc..) any pictures would be very helpfull!

CheeRS for your advice! :D

Exhausts. Wouldn't touch Scorpion. Magnex are the best quality, slightly quiet, but nice tailpipe and doesn't get on your nerves. Mongoose are the best for noise and are also very good build quality.

Suspension. If you want bling bling/mega low, then it doesn't really matter what suspension kit you go for, it'll cause it to handle worse than standard. If you want it slightly lower and to handle relatively well, go for a Koni kit at £350.. It's worth the extra £100 that you'd pay for crap like gmax. 8)

Thanx for your help everyone, ordered my parts today :D

Going for a G-MAX -60mm suspension kit and Magnex 4" cat back exhaust system, was originally going for the mongoose but nobody kept one in stock and it would have been 6 weeks plus before mongoose had one available! :O

Has anyone got these parts fitted to thieir cars and what are their views on them? Any problems or satisfyed? :D :thumb:

Did you actually call Collins who make the exhausts? I bought a GTI system on Friday, it arrived yesterday. They had loads in stock. A 60mm drop on an escort will hinder it's handling and give you shite tyre wear.
