Escort Singh
Hi everyone, what's the best way to work on electronics? 1. Disconnect the battery first 2. Leave battery connected, then put up with probelms, and sort out each problems after they occur I asked because i got a new A/C dash switch for my escort and after installing the dash lights started to illuminate when i braked Also in August i had a new reverse switch put in because it was'nt activating the reverse lights, the mechanic complained that the central locking was'nt activated after instllation, then he had to work on that! I want to know should he have disconnected the battery first to prevent this problem? Because i'm thinking of installing an extra boot light and fog light to my LX via parallel circuit and i don't want anything to go wrong Any advice would be great E5C0127 51NGH
magicdragon
I always leave the battery connected when doing stuff like the stereo, lights etc.... I have never had any problems.... Its only if i was going to work an a part of the car like the starter motor etc, only then I would disconnect from the battery.
