Paul Posted October 22, 2006 Share Posted October 22, 2006 (edited) First car was a MK5b 1.3 - M reg in Ontario Blue Then i wanted a GTi but could afford it at the time, so went for a MK6 Si P reg in State Blue Then i had a full re-spray, general tidy up in same colour... about 1200 quid ish Smoothed boot etc. All nice and shiney Then about 2 weeks after the respray... i binned it... It ended up spanned across this ditch That then prompted me to buy Foxdie's GTI 2.0 Unfortunately the engine was exactly fitted properly, I ended up almost ripping the 2.0 half out again and refitting it correctly... Then as sod's law would have it the head gasket went about a month later and then i ended up having the whole engine completely refurbished, head skimmed, re-bored, new pistons and all new gaskets etc. Now the car looks like this and is running pretty sweet in comparison. I'd appreciate it if you could edit that bit out. (This bit will of course also go). Is it all running nicely now Paul? Wasn't it back in March (The Fast Show) when running in was almost fully done?edited it for ya, sorry i wasn't aware of the full circumstances - I know Paul told me it was fitted in a hurry and it didn't really go as planned as he ended up just getting rid, hence why it wasn't sorted out properly. Of course I knew what I was buying at the time but didn't realise the extent of it however, O well all sorted now Yep done nearly 4k in it since it was refurbed and refitted, the engine runs sweat a nut, pulls nicely as well Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
