ST170 Dan
how comes the anitlag produces flames?
white_van_man
doesn't anti lag work by chucking extra fuel onto the turbo vanes? causing it to spin up and thats what makes the noise and flames sometimes? someone correct me if i'm wrong
Craig855S
as far as i know it is spraying fuel into the turbo and cos the turbine is hot it ignites when it touches the blades, forcing the blades to spin up and obviously this results in a bang noise and flames, obviously car must be de-catted or the flames wud kill the cat instantly, is the turbo at full boost when idling tho, thats what i'd like to know
white_van_man
doesn't just work when you rev up then ease off? so you have the power ready cant work on idle as well would kill the turbo i'm sure
Harvez
doesn't just work when you rev up then ease off? so you have the power ready cant work on idle as well would kill the turbo i'm sure Hence the reason why most are put off by it - because its constently been chucked in fuel the ALS go through turbo's ALOT more. Cool thing to have if you got a couple spare turbos lieing around though ! Sounds gorgeous
white_van_man
yeh just for serious rallying, although like you say cool to have if you have the money to maintain the turbos and stuff
