Its more expensive for me to be insured on a toyota MR-2 mk2 (£4000 - £4500) then it is on a TVR Chimeara (£3500 - £4000) and a merc CLK 230 (£1700 - £2000) Ive got to wait for two more years to get a decent premium so lots of waiting and careful driving me thinks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mk6 Si Ross Posted March 5, 2003 Share Posted March 5, 2003 Newer cars have more standard security features such as deadlocks, alarms, immobilisers so fall into a lower catagory whilst the value of the car is going to be a lot higher than an old banger so ins premiums fall somewhere in the middle on that one!
