DDM Posted March 9, 2003 Share Posted March 9, 2003 Been driveing my scort for about a month now, noticed it was spewing out fumes several days ago, cars flashing their lights at me etc, so took it to my mates house who has a garage to have a look, the air filter is full of oil, carbareter covered in oil the filter needed to be replaced, we unblogged some pipes from the oil filter and chacked a breather pipe (i think thats what it is called), the oil filter is buggered, the engine is clogged up with old oil, its nearly solid in places, i think it may be a big job to get it sorted and i think i might cut my losses and get a new engine as i think the engine has had too muvh ware its doen about 98'000. What do you guys suggest, i dont know too much about cars so be gentle and i was wondering what engines would fit my mark 5 J reg, scort Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
