reid
anyone fancy proving this works? http://lifehacker.com/software/diy/turn-a-...aser-287252.php
Stu
It does... but laser diodes are current-limited devices, so unless the laser module has built in current-limiting, putting it in a torch with a couple of batteries will fry it in no time at all. Sati_007
i want one it looks like fun this is old vid , i have tryed 1 like this before it was on metacafe website normal laser pointer in to a buring 1 , and yes it works!! , but the laser will burn out in a few mins. but using a dvd laser will still work as most run on 12 or 6 volts DC , so it will have lots of life in it.
