marshy
well where to start......i slept in yesterday morning..making me late for work...then...half of my deliveries were wrong or stuff missing...then i get home..car batterys flat..so had to jump it off my van...chilling out goes for a drive......reversing out of my mates drive...and twatted his fencing cracked the rear bumper and split the rear passnger corner apart..in fact the spats probably saved the thing from dropping off...then as i go home after surveying damage and debating wether its fixable...reversed car into garden...and caught my exhaust on the kerb..bending the backend of the centre pipe..and the joining section of backbox so yesterday was spent fixing the exhaust...today is gonna be fixing the bumper.. i didnt think to get pictures of it on the car (didnt think really..was more bothered about what happened)but i got some progress pics...my dad helping out... weather was crap too...not the best days to fix your car...(hence the dayglow waterproofs....the bodged bit.. lol... quick explanation....we cut 4 inch from my old backbox..to replace a piece that had snapped...then with a lot of messing about we eventually got the three pieces (the oe exhaust centre section, the 4 inch pice we cut,and the back box) together sealed them with exhaust paste and two exhaust clamps.it doesnt look or sound like its blowing..and its pretty secure.only till i take to garage and get mk6 piping welded in...today ill start on the bumper.. Matt86
I was going to same the same as above, atleast you hadnt forked out on someone spraying it or something. Rather than bodgoing it, find one at a scrappy and bung the spats on it!
ScORTED
fibregass repairs can be of a very high standard if sufficient time / prep is put in, however with the value of an escort bumper at about £5 i'd just get another and paint it
