RSwagoneer
What car were you driving ? Hi Wiggy, With this one Escort Estate, 1.8 16v, upper and lower strutbrace, gearbox fitted with Quaife diff, FINTEC -40/25 springs, HiSpec 285 billet brake kit front /standard drums rear.Handles well round the corners, but a bit on the slow side on the straights Grtz Bryan Lol, nice in-car movie you made there Bryan. Did you race the GT40 also? Saw your report on FordWorld, looked like it was a great day out! The first few laps were awfull. First being smoked by a Kadettilac and then nearly went of at most corners cause the hispec brakes didn't work like i thought they would. just after a few laps I had pressure and braking like it should be. After that it was fine. The GT40 didn't went on the track, if it had I surely would have taken some action pics and made a few movies Grtz Bryan
ScORTED
nice estate... subtle, bet the hi-specs are close to the rims, not much clearance behind RS7's is there

Had to fit spacers (3mm) to give the wheel a few mm space . looks great though. and in normal day traffic the brakes now don't have any problems to stop the Estate. On track I have the warm them up apparently, but when they're warm it's amazing how late you can brake before entering a corner. ScORTED
I had a similar experience gettign my cosworth brakes under standard rims: thats the only pic i have where you can see them squeezed under

Always good to see soem MK6's tear up the track Did you had to use spacers? At first I wanted to use the cossie brakes too. But after buying a wrong set i decided to go the whole way and bought a HiSpec kit. And sold the cossie calipers onI want to check if the old RS2K wheels will fit with some spacers, but am afraid that I have to use very wide spacers. ScORTED
i had to fit 8mm's worth of spacers and grind the edge of the calipers flat, this was because i had new pads and discs, it hte pads had been part worn i could have got away with 3-5mm spacers its because of the dished effect, i imagine GTi or triangle wheels would be ok though

Hi, Will depend on how big the used calipers are. If you're lucky , the RS7's will fit without spacing them out.If not, a few mm of spacing will be necessary for caliper-rim clearance.
