samos69
Hi All, /? I've just picked up an escort GTI in red..... its got no body scars as such and no rust I could find so thats a start! Unfortunately some little "£$%£ carved his name into it previously: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/samos69/DSC01487.jpg There are several other scratches on the car that arent bare metal but down to primer from the looks. Now its not a show car, but I'll like to attempt to conceal these at minimum cost - what is the recommended method? I've always hated bodywork / paint..... I always end up bored / frustrated with it Next - it has a few pink bits http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/samos69/DSC01486.jpg But its only the wing mirrors, side strips and boot spoiler??? (all the plastics?) All other surfaces have good colour.... I can't go purchase a polisher.... so I assume a good cutting compound and a bit of elbow grease can fix this up? I've seen a few different opinions on what to use (I know exactly which brand I'd use at home in NZ) which is the best over here? Thanks! Matt86
I tried T-Cut on a mates red/pink Corsa and it didnt help much to be honest. Cutting compound would be better

1.8Si
Get the red T cut colour restorer, will hide most of that ' tagging ' on the back wing too. I turned a H reg snowy white cavalier into a nice shiny smooth sky blue it should have been, washed it with washing up liquid, clay bar, then blue t cut colour restorer, then autoglym'd it. I was bored, and it did look mint afterwards.
