bluliz
well front suspension is easy at it should be exactly the same as the saloons/hatchbacks. the rear howerver is trickier as it leaf spring iirc. only thing i can thing of is "does the 2" lowering kit from a mk1/2 escort fit the escort van?" McRic
I'm sure theres a kit you buy which involved turning the leaf springs upside down. Can't reember where I saw it though, at least I'm trying to help though

ScORTED
escos rims will not fit on a van lowered 2"s if you go for et 40-45 17x7J on 205 40 17's they should fit
Banana Boat
sorted how to lower the van (in principal) but was wandering if these dampers would fit as it will be a 100mm drop at the back and a 60mm at the front so i need to uprate them really Escort VI all models excl. ALL4SHOW
before you order your lowering blocks check that the axle & spring set up as my mk4 van the axle sits below the springs (not sure the mk5/6 but would think its the same ) so the way ive done them in the past is to flip the axle as already said BUT remove the brake compansator (spelling ??) as what can happen is the braking system thinks you have got a heavy load in the back of the van & transfers more off the braking power to the back. not so good in the wet or the other way is to get some oxy on the leaf springs near the hangers & heat both ends & let the weight of the van do it (but that is a bit harder to get both sides right )
Banana Boat
Ive been told just to flip the rear axle over and jobs a good'n it'll end up about 100mm lower apparently but i'll certainly think bout the brake compensator won't this affect my brake bias front/rear or left/right. I also need some alloy wheel nuts (with the collars on the nuts) to fit my wheels as it got stylish steelys atm!
ALL4SHOW
only works on front to rear it works off how close the the floor is to the axle ie loaded/unloaded so as you have moved the axle closer to the floor it thinks you have got a heavy load in the back of it so adds more braking force to the back brakes hence the name brake compensator some people just chop the bar off but mine was leaking so i just took it off & joined the pipes up

fox3
As all4show said, the axle sits the other way round, so lowering blocks and longer U bolts wont work. I'm sure someone said that simply swaping the axle over required you to move the shocker mounting locations?
