stoo2000
Yes please Andy! Sounds very interesting, I presume it's to prevent the eventual rust from welding ?
Andyb0127
Yes please Andy! Sounds very interesting, I presume it's to prevent the eventual rust from welding ?partly, although if it has been welded to be honest it should have a brushable zinc primer over any bare metal as any baremetal shoud before its welded, i'll give more of a description when i put the pics up as it will be easier to explain. And show the methods we have to follow from bmw.

Joe public can get hold of panel bonding there are other alternatives that are exactly the same by companys like teroson, as for punch rivets they probably are available bit its the gun they fit into that would,nt be cheap to buy. McRic
The swage line on the qtr looks higher than the one on the door. Is this the case or does it just look that way due to the two different coloured panels?BMW adhesive I've heard it all now

Oh yes bmw adhesive snip at £140 per tube. etrebus
was the original quarter spot welded on as it looks like you have drilled them off or is that the remains of the punch rivits ,if it is welded do you know why they are bonded to repair and not spot welded again
