Rich Posted April 21, 2003 Share Posted April 21, 2003 driving in a 40mph limit i accelerate to about 45 and go into 4th gear then take my foot off the accelerator to go down to 40. rather than a smooth decent there is a noticeable jerk, as if the brake it being applied for a second. I assumed its because i am slowing down and dont have my foot on the gas, but it also happened when accelerating, a momentary loss of power and then it carries on as normal. with my limited knowledge of engines its like a dirty injector thats not spraying the same amount of petrol for a second which causes the "jump" Any ideas anyone Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can give straight answers sometimes, but it's probably one of them two. when was the last time the fuel filter was changed? should be cheap enough.
