ScORTED
fail... shame though was a tidy base for a project, at least all you've lost is your no claims and a few hundred quid standard escort... imagine if you'd finished the project then this had happened! mykez69
gutted mate, mentioned how i liked this one justice will be done, bmw owner wil get whats coming to them sooner or later if you bought the car for a lot and was handy with working on cars could get that repaired, but given the damage and what youpayed for it probably not so worth it, good luck with your claim

The RS2000 interior can be salvaged as the only part of the interior that hadn't been fitted was that rear quarter! Not all is lost... Kez, this ones totalled, I opened the boot and the rear suspension turret had pushed through the arch, the boot floor was split in 2 and the rear axle was in 2 pieces... real shame because the car had only 17,000 genuine miles on the clock but i'll find a new project
teh
Thats a flippin' low mileage for a car of that age.

PeeWee
Awfull thing to happen.I would of thought if you were creeping out though she would have been more likely to have smashed into the wing not the rear.If she`s hit the rear you must of been fully out & in clear view where she really should been able to avoid collision.Im assuming you were turning right out of that side road & she came from the right to hit you leaving your car where it is in your pic.Surely you were half way accross the road & she was speeding to hit yours the way it has.Looks like a 30mph zone (looking at the street lamp distances) to me so IF she was doing over 40 the blame lies with her, not you & certainly not the bmw driver? Quite a few people claim the victim in accidents was speeding to try and pass the blame so you may have to fight to prove.Although the police should be able to work out the approx speed in which your car was hit and if it is over the speed limit... the Almera driver is at fault. The BMW driver may or may not be classed as fault and probably 50% at that as he wasn't physically involved. Although from your description he was on double yellows and parked less than 10 metres from a junction so he at least has two parking violations. Yeah I went all over that with the officer whilst waiting for the car to be recovered... Even he thought the damage done was too significant for someone doing 30mph ( - your right peewee ) But i'll let you look at the pic's and decide for yourselves... At the end of the day the way the insurance companies see it, I was the one coming out of a sideroad onto a main road therefore the blame lies with me...The reason she hit the rear quarter and not the front was purely reaction, it was either floor it and hopefully clear her, or she slams into the drivers door and puts me in hospital... I've had worse accidents through racing and i'm sure they'll be plenty more in the future... its just one of those unfortunate things you don't expect to happen... £324.00 recovery bill - tip? Avoid Endsleigh at all costs thye've hung up twice on me so far, wont offer me a courtsey car (even though its included in my policy) and still wont pay for the recovery costs... Spoke to the police aswell today and they have decided not to follow up the incident and its down to our insurers... Going to speak to the girl who hit me tonight and see if we can settle it on our own policies or wost case scenario i'll pay the damage to her car outright, simply cant afford an accident on my insurance at my age, i'd be priced off the road! Thanks all the support anyway hopefully it will all be sorted soon... At least i'm getting my recaro's back tomorrow

teh
End of the day, if it wasn't your fault, it wasn't your fault and that shouldn't affect your insurence. Its a rear end hit therefore shes to blame, she had time to stop.
