TommyT Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) Got a bit bored so thought I would share this with everyone. Not me driving but was in the passenger seat. This was my mates 1.6 16v Megane Coupe. He was picking me up from uni at my first week there 3 years or so ago. On the way through the lanes he was approaching a tight downhill bend. Told him to slow down as I knew it was a big bend, he did slightly but lost it. Went to adjust and back went out the other way and hit a bank. The car flipped two and a half times and hit a tree aswell. Considering I'm 6'7, I had to crawl out the window which on a megane is rather small, let alone with the roof caved in. Both of us had cut hands from the glass and some back pain for a few days, other than that and being a bit shaken, got out fine. As you can just make out in the last picks from the next day, the red astra behind wasn't as badly damaged as my mates and she was in intensive care. Makes you think had it been another car (a few months earlier he had a 205) or even an escort that isnt built as safe as a meganne what would have happened.
