mousey
if anyone on here knows brielrly hill at all (doubt you will) you would know it is all up in roadworks now. i went out to get cash from the cashpoint at the asda, as i pulled out, there is a blind hill about 5 to 10 yards away on my right. so i pulled out quickly while nothing was coming, a second later WHAM! my car is sent into a spin, uh oh here comes the fence bang as i go up a huge kerb and through a metal fence. must have spun about 5 or 6 times according to the witness i had walking up the road. the guy who hit me came to a stop at the end of the goddamn road about 100 yards away! anyway the damage didnt look too bad in the beggining, headlight, wing etc on the peugeot, and bumper, headlight, wing etc on mine.. we exchanged details etc, he even said that he didnt see me over the hill but claimed he was doing 30mph, as effing if. anyway after that i drove home, steering wheel si upside down, and randomly pulls left and right, and i mean HARD! Literally had no control over where i was going. driveshaft occasionaly pops outand loses drive for a few seconds. aanyway i get home and look at the damage both headlamps smashed, track rod end bent, bonnet bent and wont open, drivers front wing sits an inch under the bonnet, bumper has a large crack and is ripped off the foam part, wing is totally fooked and catches on the wheel and door when opening. drivers door has dropped and is hard to shut and the windscreen is cracked. also the lower front grille popped out, one rs7 got hit by the car and seems buckled, and the other has a large chunk taken out of it and the tyre has a bulge. beforehttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0698.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0700.jpg afterhttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0729.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0730.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0728.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0727.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0726.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0725.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0724.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0723.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0722.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0721.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0720.jpghttp://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z298/kriz3i/IMG_0719.jpg bye bye :'(

SLEEMAN
headlights you can get second hand easy for cheap, windscreen easily replaced for a couple of hundred pounds, possibly an insurance claim on that, the mechanical bits are easy to source and replace for cheap, say around a hundred quid for new track rod, wishbone to be on the safe side, new driveshaft is £150 including labour, wheel just replace with the spare for now. say replace what you can to reduce a claim, insurance company could right it off but tbh thats not that much damage say compared to a rear ender. if you can buy all the parts needed, then that would reduce the cost of the total from the bill. then you can easily sort that! SLEEMAN
i would have thought it would be the hinges rather than the main body structure, and new slam panel, then insurance will say definatly a right off, but you can easily buy it back so you could break it up for bits, or use the rebate money for a new escort and transfer parts over! MC_Bob
I dont think its worth fixing if the chassis has twisted. Will have all sorts of adverse handling affects.
