danposs86 Posted September 14, 2008 Share Posted September 14, 2008 Firstly, I would like to thank everyone that made it, it was a cracking day which everyone seemed to enjoy. Now, for those that couldn't be there, here's how the day went. After setting off from the meet point I was playing photographer car with Matt on camera duty, hopefully there will be some nice 'on the move' pics. Once parked up we all (well nearly, 15 of us) set off for breakfast at a nice little cafe in the center of Blackpool. The food may have taken a while to come for some and orders mixed up a little (never did get my mushrooms!!!), well we did catch them off guard lol. The weather held out and turned into a really lovely day. The show wasn't as busy as last year, but there were plenty of cars for everyone to see, including the usual mid life crisis brigade. Some stunning cars were on display, including that black Mk1 Mexico Nice to see that pretty much everyone stayed to the end of the show, and a big thanks to you guys for almost letting me drive off with my show 'evo' plates still on lol. Anyway, thanks again everyone. Also there's GOOD NEWS for people that didn't go, I had a working camera at this show, so as soon as I have sorted them all out expect plenty of photos. MarkyMark Posted September 14, 2008 Share Posted September 14, 2008 B*stard, i was just about to start the thread named 'wheres Dans mushrooms' Was a good day just a shame i felt so tired all day, breakfast was good and the extra helpings stopped a massive complaint going in by me, took about 30-40 mins for mine to finally arrive I left around 3-30, was sat in the car for a while and was starting to nod off so thought fcuk it, time to go home. Dan or Pete did you get me show plaque?? Was nice to talk to the usual suspects as well as a few others. Some of the cars on show were mint, like Dan my fave was the mk1 mexico (think its the same one) closely followed by red ST that was for sale for £19k. The good news, i had a fooking awesome day, the people are what make this club what it is.....I dont think i stopped laughing all day long, you cant beat meeting up with a bunch of like minded annoying people who enjoy a good day of banter Your a sound lot.... The sun was out shining today, really was good weather. Dan nearly did Daves cossie off the lights in the morning, well he was equal whilst Dave was wheel spinning like fcuk and the backend going everywhere, then he shot off You did him in my book Dan I was causing havoc on the motorway bringing it to a stop getting pics lol and just making up my own lanes Me, Dave, Wayne, Kris, Lee (Bennyboy) went for a walk to Mcdonalds in the afternoon which happened to be at the other side of Blackpool lol Im sure they have moved it since last time i was there, burnt off the calories though didnt it....Are you ok Kris mate? Seemed to take it out of you that walk buddy I stuck it out till the end aswell, may aswell get my moneys worth lol....I got a show plaque 3 free sticks of Rock and free parking on the sea front all day all for my £3, you cant argue with that But all in it was a cracking day, Cheers Dan for sorting it and cheers to everyone that came along, thats the most important bit for me....I aint there for the cars im there for the laughs and you wouldnt find them anywhere else......Which is why it saddens me to bring up my next point, The bad news.... Today was my last ever show with Evo, it is with deep regret that i announce i will no longer be showing with you guys again.
