Al dont think supras were designed for the American market, cos everytime ive been over, ive seen possiabley one, tbh ive seen more lambos driving round than supras.

I quite like the american escorts, altho a compleatly different style to the english ones, i hear your goin for a turbo conversion? is that a new engine your haveing or modding the current one?

wel to start off with, I like the Euro Scorts better, the body lines and overall design are more to my liking...plus you guys have the Cabrio....I miss mine

There are quite a few Supras here...it just depends on which year and style you are looking for...I believe they quit selling them around 96 or so so the later model twin turbo models a a bit on the rare side, same for the 3rd gen RX-7

for the turbo, I plan on building this engine all over, from the inside out, all forged internals, balanced, custom cams and valving, the whole works...prob gonna run around 28 pounds of boost through it....looking to get at least 400 at the wheels...we'll see how the work and tuning turns out....

there is some similarity in the body lines, but I think the main reasopn they are very much different is that the chassis for the second and third gen US Spec models as well as the Ausie Laser are basically the same as the Mazda 323/Protege/MX-3 from wht I have understood, the motors from the Euro spec ones will work in the first gens though which if someone really wanted they could have a real sleeper

Right - that's interesting - thanks.

one thing I have considered if I can get ahold of the parts cheap enough is to transplant the front end of a 323f from around 9 3 or so that had the pop up headlights on it onto the scort...I like the styling, plus it would def set me apart from anything the others areoun here are doing....maybe someone on this forum will be nice enough to visit a wrecking yard and get me an Idea of the price of the parts needed...such as hood, fenders, front bumpers and headlight assemblies,,,,,well it's worht a shot anyways...lol :D
