Squav
Does anyone know the length from the front seats to the boot, I'm looking at transporting something quite large home, if I put the seats down whats the longest item I can fit in?
caled
Depends on the shape of the item, if its long and thin you can get something longer than a bonnet in there if theres noone in the passenger seat. The distance between the two rear suspension mounting points are the problem i usually have.

mykez69
can you go measure your boot?
Squav
can you go measure your boot? Not really..... Because I'd have to take my sub and parcel shelf out which are all fixed in, and I don't want to do that tomorrow if I definitely know that it will fit in. Squav
Okay, I've just been out and its 58 inches from the end of the boot to the front seats and about 32 inches wide. It will fit widthways, but not long ways ... What's the best way of doing it legally to bring it home? Like rope or what?
Barry-334
depends how far you're going? motorway? best to secure the tailgate with a bungy strap, so long as your rear numberplate can be clearly seen from behind.

It's about 12 inches longer than the room in my car, and I doubt you'll be able to see my numberplate Edited March 18, 2009 by Squav
