joe on a mish Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 i have just bought a 52 plate escort diesel van but when driving home i noticed the top speed even downhill was 80 mph does anyone know where the limiter or govener are on the engine ??? stoney Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Look under the bonnet if the engine is still similar to mk4 escrt diesese,els then on the diesel injector pump ( the unit were the accelerator cable goes to ) there is a throttle stop so u cant over rev the engine adjust this to give it more clearence and hey presto.
