pornking69
Hi guys, i just noticed my spare wheel is a 14" whereas the ones on my car are 16". I'm on a long journey tomorrow and just to be sure if i had to use it would there be an issue?? My 16" have tyres that are 2.5" thick whereas the spare has a tyre thats 3.5" thick which means that they are pretty much exactly the same width (tread to tread)..........Basically will i die? lolThanks

dutchkev
but not ideal for constant use, only as an emergency
madxrcabby
but not ideal for constant use, only as an emergency hence the idea it being called a spare , its not something to use all the time , just as and when you need to lol
wwwd
Well line them up, and you'll see they're approximately the same size. The bigger the wheel, the lower profile it is so they'll be a similar size overall. Edited September 5, 2009 by wwwd
