alexc1983
you do need spacers on a mk 6 van. I had to get 5mm spacers, otherwise they wouldnt give me an MOT certificate as they rub if the van has some weight in the back. 5 mm will be fine mate

Trust me otherwise MOT fail OR mod the rear arches?? Unfortunaly Kev they scrub the inner body of the van, not the arches. Tho a wide arch mk6 van would look mint with deep dish alloys
andrewsalter
you do need spacers on a mk 6 van. I had to get 5mm spacers, otherwise they wouldnt give me an MOT certificate as they rub if the van has some weight in the back. 5 mm will be fine mateI dont have spacers on the back of my van.Why would it be a mot failure to not have spacers? They dont rub on the inner arch cos of the offset. There is loads of room between the tyre and inner arch and will never rub. i think it in the cap in the centor if the drum but maybe wrong. and also andrew is ur van lowered? as im looking to lower mine and wondered if the cossie wheels are ok with it bn lowred at the bk. my old van was really low and think i mat have probs with it bn tins low with cossies on it. cheeRsscotty The cap you have to modify is the cap in the centre of the drum which covers the hub nut and bearing. The centre caps wont go on if not modified as they stick out to far. What I done to get centre caps to fit was to cut the cap in half so it was just a ring and not a cap.I tried taking it out completely but without it I had trouble with the drum not sitting correct. My van is lowered and the arches have been rolled. andrewsalter
Just been out and took some photos. As you can see there is loads of room between wheel/tyre and inner arch with no spacers. There is no way the wheel/tyre can rub on inner arch.http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/andrewsalter5019/001-31.jpg Hopefully you will see what I have done in this photo.I have cut the top of the cap off, which makes it shorter so the centre cap will go on.http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj22/andrewsalter5019/002-38.jpg

scottyd
here is a pic of he van with cossies on it andrew, as u can see its very close and it does rub on inside a little at times. http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee230/scotty_eg5/DSCF0568.jpg but when its lowered think it will be ok at the in side of the wheels arch gets wider at the top.
