you should have taken a picture of the ruler in the hole measuring the depth of the hole. if its more than 40mm iirc they are liable

 

I did get a picture of the depth i got shite loads of pictures but i didnt post them all up lol

You won't get anywhere, the people at the council are w*nkers.

 

We've got shocking roads around here, a few mates of mine have had the same problem (and taken pictures, written letters, etc.) and got absolutely nowhere.
