dansGTI Posted July 24, 2003 Share Posted July 24, 2003 yep, big bang. you need a complete engine rebuild or engine swap, cos the general rule is, a Turbo needs low compression...... a normal aspirated engine has too high compression, not to mention the fact that its missing things like, the correct engine management, cooling system, fuel system, etc. loadsa money! lottie Posted August 30, 2003 Share Posted August 30, 2003 I have a MK6 Escort and have a MK4 turbo conversion which as far as i know is the only one about I wudnt recomend it though Its very expensive and i have changed every thing to do with my engine to suit the Turbo Its alot of hard work but im happy with it and love it to bitz!!!! Dont 4 get thoug if u do want Turbp there is one thing i have learnt about them... they will always need tending to no matter what so they are hard work but if u want one then its worth all the money and time in the end I have a lot of proiblems as i never know it Mk4 things will go on my MK6 and alot of people tell me that MK6 are better as more hard wearing then the Mk4 so very difficult to know what to get I now need a dizzy and i dont know if i should get Mk4 Turbo one or a Mk6 normal one as its only a dizzy?
