Right guys and girls have been thinking for awhile now a escort van is probably more practical for me. The reason being is im wanting to get back into pitbiking so having a van would be extremely useful as trying to put the pitbike in the back of my car and then going across fields isnt really too practical. So im looking to see what id be offered for my car as a straight swop:

 

A few details about my car:

 

1.4 CVH engine,

Fully serviced every 10,000 miles,

Approx mileage 56k can double check to confirm,

MOT'd and TAX'd will need to check how long both have got cause I cant remember haha,

Bodywork in extremely good condition for age only slight deteriation on drivers rear arch forming nothing major at all,

16" mondeo 7j wide alloys with bridgestone potenza 205/45R16 tyres fitted,

Lowered -60mm,

Half tinted rear lights,

GTi front bumper with cupra R splitter fitted,

Full service history and some receipts included in folder,

All MOT certificates from new,

Xenon upgraded bulbs,

MOS cd player,

Very well maintained,

Bit of a fluctuating idle at times but thats down to the idle control valve needing cleaning nothing major just aint got round to it.

 

Would anyone be interested in a swop for an escort van that doesnt live opposite ends of the country haha! If so what have you got?

*(Also it now has a regular colour coded GTi bumper and cupra R splitter, does not have a smoothed Gti bumper fitted anymore)*

OK, so i went to the car dealer for you and took some pictures, now im no expert at all but here is how saw it

 

i had a good look around it and as you would expect for a Van there are minor rust spots and minor dents and bumps especially around the back door area,you can clearly tell its been used as a working Van as the Cargo area is dirty.

 

It has some nice alloys on it not in mint condition but ok.

 

The Engine well i cant comment on this as i dont know enough to tell you anything the chap at the Dealership said its sound........ but he would say that.

 

The Interior Is fine infact quite clean no visable signs of Major wear and tear.

 

i was unable to get decent full length pictures as the Van is stuck deep in a forcourt surrounded by other cars i had to squeeze through to take the pictures i did take.

 

The Mileage reads 40 something K but my guess is this far from correct, The chap didnt elaborate but during the snowy period it was kurbed and there is a problem with the steering rack, i couldnt take it for a test drive so couldnt tell you how bad this is.

 

I told him you possibly had a car to swop but he said he would have to see it, Price they want for it well in his exact words "make me an offer"

 

Im thinking there is better around and maybe leave this

Thankyou mate, that is much appreciated for doing that for me, went well beyond the call of duty and its much appreciated, owe you one Think ill hold out for now though, because as you say hes said theres a problem with the steering and the general condition of it too, so think ill hold out and see if I can find a tidier van.
