marc novataken
a mate offered me the cat-back system off his 1.4 mk6. how hard is it to fit to a 1.6 mk5b, been told there completely different, any ideas?
shawdreamer
routes the same but hanger points aernt, some catbacks come with additional hanger points to account for that problem but if the version he's giving you is specifically made for a mk6 your gonna have hanger issues on a mk5b. The hangers are more notably different on the centre box in particular, were mk6's have hangers either side of the box front & back the Mk5b doesnt. I recently adapted my 3" catback system I had built for my previous Mk6 Si to fit my current Mk5b and unless you have access to a welder you will come a cropper, with a welder handy its a 5 minute job to slap a couple of extra hanger bars on as I did
