stevmo3691 Posted July 8, 2010 Author Share Posted July 8, 2010 faults with the car:exhaust rattling - will try and look at that if i get a chancewhistling out the intake pipe when warmed upweld patch on chasis rail has surface rust coming back through as welder was a gun slinging horse ridern/s rear shock leaking, having new shocks delivered, dunno when - will include with carboth rear arches are rustingboth rea quarters and back bumper need re-sprayingrub strips need re-sprayingwing mirror casings need re-sprayinghand brake pointing to the roof, has new shoes so needs new cable (got new RS ones too fit with the RS back brakes)all the paint work could do with addressing reallytracking is out - got tracking done but they said needs new track rod ends and possibly track rods (haven't looked yet)drivers door barrel is knackered so unlocking from passenger side - have a remote kit that i never got round to installing (£20) as i say, nothing hugely major, just irritating and i dont have as much free time as i would like and need a slightly bigger car for helping round the house as get alot of complaints in the back of the escort.I reckon if you have £2-300 and some spare time, you could get this car looking amazing. just deserves someone who can commit to the time Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's what it said in your thread anyway?...oh yeah, almost forgot, the selector rod plastic bush is worn so the selector rattles a bit when you put your foot down in 2nd and 3rd and when changing to 3rd can miss it occasionaly. also front windscreen isnt mot failure but has large number of small chips and scratches that in direct sunlight make it hard to see out of.got quoted £160 + vat for new one and fitting or £89 if i have the non heated one Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
