Roofey
Right been having a problem with my mk6 zetec escort... Went out to the car the other morning only just started and drove up the road and i started losing all electric power and running ruff air bag/engine management light coming on also going to cut out...thought it must be the alternator or battery so changed both of them checked all the earths and cleaned them, and also fitted a new alternator to starter cable..now all that`s been done it starts and runs until it gets warm, then the same things it goes to cut out all electrical power I.E dash-lights rev counter headlights and the air bag/engine management light comes on...etc..turn the car off and it won`t start leave it half an hour (cool down).and it starts again and the same process..I`m thinking that either the ignition coil pack is faulty or the crank-shaft senor..anyone else got any ideas..cheers in advanced Edited December 14, 2010 by Roofey

Other then that you've got a electrical fault.
