The day i got it

 

I brought this of ebay and got it del on thursday. Not what i would normally buy, but i have decided im going to put it back to standard then sell it on. I think it deserves it. It goes in for a mot first on monday so i no where i am with it.

parts im after is front and rear bumpers, side skirts, bonnet, parcel shelf and sum interior bits.

 

update from today

well only got an hour on the car today as had to look after the kids. did get quite a bit done though. found out the car has had new sills and apart from the underlay being soaking wet in both footwells its faily solid. i have fund 2 areas that will need welding, one is in the boot and the other is the drivers side back corner. The drivers seat bolster is pretty mint. removed a mountain of audio cable.

It looks dreadful as is, cant believe anyone would do that to an RS2000, it starts with all the nice gear, I had the exact same rust.

whats the long term plan

mk 6 will be put back to standard and then sold with a new mot. mk5 xr3i 130 is having a rs2000 engine fitted then it will be resprayed. mk5a rs2000 has 70k on the clocks with fsh and full leather recaro interior, currently changing doors, boot and fitting a power bulge bonnet before it gets resprayed, it also has decat, magnex complete system, knife edged throttle body, k&n, superchipped and exhaust manifold has had all the crap taken out of it. just needs a 2.3 bottom end now.
