Right not been updating much do thought I'd throw a few pics up of what I've been doing!

 

( I don't know if one of the mods can remove the old photos as someone got into my photobucket account and deleted them!)

 

Right here's what I've been up to---

Stripped the lump down replaced -

Oil pump

Water pump

Complete cambelt kit inc tensioner

Exhaust valves

Valve stem seals

Crank seals

Rocker cover and sump gaskets

 

Skimmed and pressure tested the head.

 

 

Still a bit to do but pretty much 90% there!

Im hoping to do a 2 Litre conversion sometime soon also. What inlet and exhaust are you planning on using. So far I have the Alloy "HO" inlet Manifold and a DEEP ECU with Matching MAF but Im struggling to find a good lump to build all on :nutter:

Cheers matey, ive got DESK ECU 1.8 zetec inlet and im on the hunt for a 4-2-1 but if not will just use the 1.8 exhaust manifold.

 

I know what you mean about the engine fella, i scoured ebay and breakers yards for months!!!

Another few pics after a good clean today.

Ive done the usual i.e. bump strip removal, fitted a guna splitter and de-badged the boot. Not too fused with the fogged bumper tbh to much hassle for what its worth!

Also fitted the inlet and fuel rail/injectors to the new lump.

Next up plans are to get the god awful mismatch on the boot painted before all my friends starting callin me 'patch'

And fit the 300mm upgrade that is due to turn up any day!
