I just got the message through on my Galaxy S2 for updating to andrtoid OS 4.0. I clicked to 'update later' as i dont want to start downloading a 200Mb file when im leaving work in a few minutes. I did a quick check that i can manually update it via settings -> about phone -> software update though and its saying there are no current updates.

 

How do i install it manually now?

I tried that but there was no reference to software updates anywhere.

I've just connected my s2 to Kies and it told me automatically that i needed a software update

no used the kies i had installed on my pc

Would help if i read the question right before replying, odd that its not finding it through the updater on the phone

 

Unless your carrier or Samsung have withdrawn the update?

You have to update Kies first before it will find new updates for your phone

True this. Just updated to kies 2.0 and its now found it. Thanks.
