KW-rscos
Having a starting problem on my 1998 escort GTi, it seems to be when the car is warm, but only happened a couple of times and doesn't happen all the time/ every time the car is hit. Basically I turn the key and the fuel pump primes, all the correct lights come on, but the starter doesn't turn, but if I leave the key in that position after 5 or 10 seconds it starts to turn over then it fires up!? What could it be?

What could it be?i would be checking the wiring to the starter (especially the little blue wire where it connects at the starter motor)first .could be a starter motor fault or could be ignition switch
SLEEMAN
or could be signs of the starter fading off and may need changing!!
