Your starter looks different to mine. I also had the issue of the started just running away. If I remeber correctly it was the cables that was damaged from the alternator to the started. staffychance Posted September 4, 2012 Author Share Posted September 4, 2012 OMG its done Moving the live from alternator across to the same connector as the battery seems to help.......yes Im a dick i know. Thanks for all the help and advice guys. If you put alternator to exciter connector your start will constantly run,start to smell cut it self out, if you repeat this your starter will die fast.
