Injectors and fuel rail

Hi guys

 

 

How easy is it to install a 2ltr fuel rail and injectors???

 

i have a 2ltr engined escort, but its still running on 1600 managment, i have a 2.0 deep ecu, and maff, but not familier(spell check) with fuel rails and injectors

 

is there a how to guide for this, (sorry if your shouting, this is so easy ) i need schooling

Doddle fella.

 

Remove fuel lines and two 8mm bolts IIRC hold it in place, then pull it out.

 

 

Just to add, check all the seals are still on the injectors when you pull 'em out.

very easy, 4 x8mm bolts and clips to the fuel rail, i recommend using new seals though

fuel rail on the 2.0 is the same as the 1.6,

 

but i never like removing injectors from the rail itself as snapped one once before, and its easier just to swap the injectors in the rail

Just like I keep banging on about Digi Dials, how easy is it to change all the seals? Might as well cant be expensive.

The ones you had, the O rings / seals on the injectors were replaced when the injectors were refurbed (Cost ~£60) the seals / gasakets on the end of the injector onto the manifold weren't

The latter I replaced, we just put the best conditioned 2.0 injectors in in the end, cause I had two sets, forgot which ones they were.
