Bought this 99 V reg Escort Estate off Gumtree, in the dark, 11pm only cos it had 2 months T&T left, it was a TD and best of all, it was cheap!!Looked over it in the morning and thought "what the f**k have i done!" Drove like a dog - both bottom arms were knackered (replaced with nearly new postie van arms) Smelt like a dog - very dirty inside, mouldy sweets in the dash, general rubbish everywhere! Looked like a dog - Front bumper has a bit missing, both rear arches need work, both sills need work Therefore, it's been christened The Dog!! It got worse.... driving along, went for the brakes, nearly non existent! Rear brake cylinder had gone.While doing that, i noticed the backbox was knackered, massive hole, basically, half the side of the box was missing. It's out of test at the end f the month, so gonna start repairing the rusty bits very soon.The heater doesn't get warm, so needs sorting soon The plan is to repair the rusty bits, general tidy up, then slowly start getting it how i want it. Had a decent look under the estate last night at work and i think it need too much welding, both sills need replacing, some patches on the floors, both sides, both rear arches and the rear valance!!
