chris_g99 Posted January 1, 2013 Share Posted January 1, 2013 It appears that my 5A escort has started leaking in the boot. I have traced the leak to the point the tailgate hinge mounts to the body. I tried silicone but that doesn't seem to have cured it sadly loosen off the hinges were they meet the cab roof and dry everything off as best as you can then squirt in a generous amount of tigerseal.....presto never leak again. make sure you do it on a dry day though so the tigerseal gets a chance to cure fully.
