jjcool Posted March 31, 2013 Author Share Posted March 31, 2013 If it's been mapped then why ask if you need to adjust the cold start mapping? i asked because when it was running previously it was very hard to start the car when it was cold and ierratic idling and it would be ok once warmed up. i thought it maybe of been the cold start settings in megasquirt however after doing a mini service all seems fine. just the white smoke issue now. also i dont think k reg escorts had the OBD port as i was going to plug in my eithos just to double check any fault codes but i dont think k reg escorts had them. Stu Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 The diagnostics port won't be doing anything if you're running Megasquirt. Servicing isn't going to fix a cold start issue. It's more than likely because it's a bit warmer now than it was a week ago. ts a real shame megasquirt dont show fault codes i have noticed regarding the white smoke theres quite a bit of water in the exhaust this is maybe due to the fact the cars been sitting for along time.
