blacksofstichill Posted August 17, 2013 Share Posted August 17, 2013 It could also be the coil pack wiring, it's notorious for breaking down and shorting out causing misifres, etc As you'll have seen, the wiring runs under the coil pack cover, down the side of the head, into a plastic rail along the back of the head and then up to a 3-pin plug on the bulkhead. The insulation breaks down, often in places you can't see. The easiest way to eliminate it is to run new wiring directly from the 3-pin plug to the coil packs without it going through the plastic rail, etc. That's a modification worth doing in any case just so you know it's good.
