Do you live close to anyone who could perhaps cast another set of eyes over what you've done to see if there's anything obvious. Even pics on here might help if you were desperate.

yeah there are a few chaps on here, ill get them to cast their more experienced eyes over it for me, desperate to get put back together and in the escort now!

This is regarding the mirror topic, for some reason I don't have permission to post there for some unknown reason.

Are you definitely sure that both surfaces are squeaky clean? White spirit leaves a residue so meths is needed. Use a 'clean' white cloth so you can see if any dirt at all is coming off on the cloth. Any old glue must be removed. Don't touch the surface once you are sure its clean. Try some number plate stickers (may have to cut to size), press in place for at least a minute and if possible, avoid driving for a few hours. This is the only method that worked for me although I didn't try a PU adhesive such as shawdreamer recommends.
