Jescort
Last night I was following my mate home and hit the back of his 206 :crybaby . It's bent the top of the wing on the drivers side and the front of the bonnet on the drivers side, also I did smash the headlight and indicator but I replaced them this morning and I cracked the bumper. Should be getting the bodywork sorted next month.

Jescort
I've got to pay for my car my self and I'm gonna pay for the car that I hit (which was my mates luckly). I'm only third party and my exess is £200, but it should only cost about £100 to sort his car out, thats why I'm going to pay for it myself. God know how much mine will cost to sort tho. John
I'd want some whiplash compensation if I was your mate. it's attitudes like that which cause insurance companies to be charging higher and high premiums to cover the pay out for these "whiplash injuries"
Gti_Destroyer
Everyone does it. If anyone at all see's a chance to make some extra mulah then they will. It's a fact of life.
Rich
no everyone does not do it, its a total abuse of the system and your only shooting yourself in the foot by increasing premiums so you will end up paying for it in the end.
Gti_Destroyer
Hey I probably pay more than I should be paying on my insurance right now, why because of the amount of claims people make.
sortedford
i wouldnt claim off a mate cos that means theyd have to put it thru their insurance, whereas id b just as happy for them to pay me in cash to save their ncb
Gti_Destroyer
Yes but if you read my first post thast what I said. If he was paying me cash for it to be repaired then ok. But if it was going through his insurance, his insurance would already be fucked making a claim, so a claim for a bit of compensation would do no harm. Jescort
LOL I see I little debate has been going on here since I last posted. My cars costing £500 to sort out, but I'm having a mk5 rs2000 bonnet and wrc grill fitted on it instead of the mkvb bonnet. And it has cost me £90 to sort my mates car out. As for the compensation, I wouldn't bother anyway cos all I'll be doing is contributing the large number of n0bs heads trying to claim money for a non existing injury (in other words fraud) and thus make our already high insurance primiums even higher. So overall I'm quite happy.
